Saint Joseph's Hospital Refurbishment, Dublin

St. Joseph’s Hospital is a hospital in Raheny, on the Northside of Dublin in Ireland. It is used as a rehabilitation hospital for patients of the Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
We were contracted directly by Elmcrest to support the refurbishment of one ward into three individual rooms. We provided full mechanical services including modifications to the existing services, prior to installation. Other services included low-temperature hot water, H&C water services, new sanitary ware.

The age and quality of the building created challenges for plumbing and mechanical installations as well as the construction works themselves. We worked hand in hand with the builders to overcome the challenges, completing the project to a tight timescale and handing the ward back to Beaumont Hospital on time and snag-free.
Manufacturers’ audits, Quality Control Numbers and detailed Quality Checks were all implemented in line with our Forensically Controlled Installation System. Best practice waste management procedures were also followed.
Congested ceiling voids and risers provided some challenges to the installation. We highlighted any issues prior to works commencing and developed a solution in partnership with Elmcrest. Close. All systems were subject to an in-situ testing regime, and the detailed checks we completed as standard.
